Upon announcement of the summer flight schedule Riga International Airport offers its passengers 12 new destinations. Low-cost airline Wizz Air is opening its Riga base in June. Along with the opening of the base the airline will open 4 new routes: from Riga to Barcelona, Doncaster Sheffield, Dortmund, and Paris (Beauvais) as well as increase flight frequency to London (Luton) and Oslo (Torp).
On March 30 Latvian national carrier airBaltic opened flights from Riga International Airport to Aberdeen, UK.
On March 1 Latvian national carrier airBaltic launched a new service – shuttle bus service to connect Riga with regional cities in Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania thus ensuring its clients with more convenient access to destinations in Europe, Middle East, and Russia / CIS countries.

In March 2014 public joint-stock company Starptautiska lidosta “Riga” (Riga International Airport) published Yearbook 2013 containing company’s performance figures as well as information about the most significant events in the life of the airport last year.
In February Riga Airport in association with airBaltic launched sale of Access to the Fast Track Security Checkpoint service. It is available for purchase on www.airbaltic.lv upon booking or before online check-in.
