During the winter season, 18 airlines will operate flights to 76 destinations; among them is Laudamotion Austrian low-cost airport, which will start its service from Riga Airport to the Austrian capital of Vienna and will offer four flights weekly.


RIGA International Airport Training Centre

Training Centre began the work in 2000. It was created with aim to ensure professional development of the employees of the airport in adequate conditions and high quality. The airport training centre ensures the training of its employees, as well as offers education possibilities for the professionals of the branch. We offer curricula developed by ourselves that are agreed according to the requirements of normative acts.

Trainings are conducted by professional instructors who have obtained qualification in the institute of International Air Transport Association (IATA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and other internationally important educational establishments (ECAC, ACI). All instructors have practical experience in the respective branches.

The Training centre cooperates with other Latvian and foreign training centres by making common projects connected with the training.

Aims of the training centre:

  • to prepare professional employees of the airport,
  • to maintain the level of knowledge and skills of employees,
  • to facilitate career possibilities of employees.
